Pharmacopuncture, a Modern Korean Medicine Treatment Delivering the Effects of Herbal Medicine Directly
Hello. At our clinic, we administer pharmacopuncture therapy for faster recovery and effective treatment for our patients. Here is information regarding pharmacopuncture.
What is Pharmacopuncture?
Pharmacopuncture is an injectable preparation made by extracting and refining pure herbal medicines, serving as a modernized Korean medicine treatment that is injected directly into acupoints (acupuncture points) or areas of pain. It provides outstanding therapeutic effects by offering both the physical stimulation of traditional acupuncture and the pharmacological actions of herbal medicine simultaneously.
Differences Between Pharmacopuncture and Conventional Injections
Unlike general pain-relieving injections or steroids, pharmacopuncture:
- Is designed with an actual therapeutic purpose - rather than simply masking pain temporarily, it approaches the root cause
- Is made with natural herbal medicine ingredients, making it safe
- Has almost no side effects even with long-term use - unlike steroids, there is no restriction on the duration of use
- Allows for customized treatment tailored to each individual patient's constitution and symptoms
Major Advantages of Pharmacopuncture
- Rapid effects: Acts directly on acupoints or painful areas, allowing for quick effects to be seen
- Sustained therapeutic effects: Aims for treatment of the root cause rather than mere pain relief
- Effective with small amounts: Effective treatment is possible even with small doses
- Suitable for patients who have difficulty taking oral medicine: Those who find taking medication uncomfortable can easily receive treatment
For What Conditions is it Effective?
- Musculoskeletal disorders: Herniated discs, lower back pain, frozen shoulder, arthritis, neck pain
- Nervous system disorders: Headaches, neuralgia, Parkinson's disease pain, insomnia
- Chronic inflammatory diseases: Anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects on various types of inflammation
- Immune-related diseases: Rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.
